Patriots Point

May 9th, 2008

The entire family went with Aaron’s Boy Scout pack to Patriots Point to stay on the U.S.S. Yorktown for a few days.  Aaron & Frank stayed in enlisted men’s quarters which featured bunks stacked 5 high so space was very tight.  Anna & Kendall stayed in [the more comfortable] junior officer’s quarters.  We were able to see sections of the ship generally inaccessible to the general public and had access to the ship around the clock.  Meals were also served in one of the many areas sailors ate when at sea while the large aircraft carrier was in service.More information about the facility and attractions can be found here.
